Earlier this month, I presented at the All Ohio Counselors Conference with another elementary school counselor in my district. We discussed how to address challenging areas of elementary school counseling, such as career exploration and effective small groups. We received amazing feedback and will definitely be applying again next year - this time, with more school counselors from our district! I am lucky enough to work with a group of extremely talented individuals who each bring their own strengths to the profession. We lean on each other, share ideas, and encourage our entire group to work to our potential. The best part is that we feel comfortable enough to say when we are struggling and can ask for advice or resources - we don't judge or hoard our own ideas. I love my colleagues!
