Purpose
I use my monthly newsletter to staff as a way to disseminate valuable information, such as great books for students, helpful websites, available counseling services, and more!
How to create
I use WORD to create my newsletters. If you are not familiar with formatting text boxes and layering pictures and text, this may not be the best route for you. I know that a lot of people use Publisher to create professional newsletters. Try them out and see what works best for you.
I create a PDF of my WORD document using CutePDF, a free program that you can download here.
My fonts are downloaded from various free font websites, but one of my favorites is 1001 Free Fonts. Simply download a font to your desktop, then right click "extract all," then copy and paste the font file(s) into your font folder (C drive, Windows, Fonts).
