One way to recognize students' positive behaviors is through a photo booth. At my school, we already had a Student of the Month award and PAWS card (Pride, Attitude, Work Habits, Self-Control) raffle winner, but we wanted to make it more special. So, the students get called down to the office after hearing their names on the announcements and stop by my office to take a special picture. Their photo booth picture hangs in the hallway for a month, then gets moved to the wall outside their classroom for the remainder of the year. Students can take their picture home at the end of the year.
I created a backdrop using butcher paper from my school's art room and a simple bulletin board border. Very easy and cheap!
I purchased the props and can use some of them for various classroom lessons. Here are some ideas you can browse through.
